Krystle Stanley-Director/ Secondary Teacher
Krystle loves teaching. Whether it is in an actual classroom, or on a field or court as a coach, she loves working with youth. Her hope is to provide an educational opportunity outside the norm, one that facilitates critical thinkers, problem solvers and independent adults. She lives with her husband Len and three children in Wilmington, DE. She has been homeschooling for 4 years. Her husband is a product of homeschooling and she also was homeschooled during elementary and Middle school years. Krystle has a bachelor’s degree in Special Education from Liberty University with a minor in Mathematics and biblical Studies. She also has an A.S in Biology. She taught in both public and private schools for several years.

Amanda Brooks-Elementary Teacher
Amanda Brooks comes to PLC with several years of diverse teaching experience. By creating nurturing, relationship-based learning environments, she helps students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. With a special interest in literacy and reading, Amanda tailors her instruction to meet each child’s unique needs, building their confidence and equipping them with skills for lifelong success.
Throughout her career, Amanda has taken on various roles, including Assistant Teacher, Paraeducator, Field Hockey Coach, School-Age Site Administrator, and Tumbling Assistant Coordinator. She is currently completing a Bachelor in Elementary Education with Special Education certification at Wilmington University. Her certifications include Trauma-Informed Education, Praxis Elementary Education Content Knowledge and Crisis Intervention Prevention (CPI).
Amanda also provides tutoring services through Level Up Literacy, a program she created to address the national literacy crisis by helping students overcome reading challenges. In her free time, Amanda enjoys playing softball and spending time with her beagle mix, Mya.

Alexis Pitts
Reading Specialist-Consultant
Alexis earned her undergrad in Psychology from WilmU, her masters from UD in special education and reading specialist certificate. Alexis has many years working in the public school system as a special education teacher and reading specialist. She also was department chair for the school’s special education department.

Lisa Weddell
Art Teacher
Lisa is absolutely passionate about creating and teaching art to children and people of all ages. She hopes to inspire creativity, imagination, and a love of art through her instruction. Lisa has had a lifelong love of art and pursued through a degree in Studio Arts. Forever trying to develop and enhance her artistic skills, she continues education in a variety of classes and by self teaching. She has been teaching art for about 10 years. She lives with her husband and 3 little boys close by right outside Philadelphia, PA. She is a homeschooling Mom herself so this is something near and dear to her heart

Kathleen Kennan
Music Teacher
Kathleen has taught music education and band for many years in New Jersey and Delaware. She is in ministry at local church in Wilmington. Pathway is excited to partner with her for some exciting things to come!
